Was October 23, 2026 a big earthquake in Columbus?
NO
No — today's biggest quake so far is a magnitude 5.7 off Sicily, not a major one.
Why
- Strongest today: M5.7, 61 km WNW of Leni, Italy, 10:19 UTC
- Palermo schools evacuated; no damage reported
- Yesterday's M7.0 hit near Nagqu, China, not today
