Was today a day with an earthquake?
Checking
YES
Yes — the world shook plenty today, with 46 quakes of magnitude 2.5 or higher logged in the past 24 hours.
Why
- Strongest was a magnitude 6.0 near Port-Olry, Vanuatu, at 10:21 PM UTC-independent local USGS time
- No quakes of any size were recorded within 300 km of Columbus
- Counts are a rolling 24-hour window, so the total may still change tonight
