Was October 28, 2026 a lunar eclipse?
NO
No — today's moon is a waning gibbous, not an eclipse, and the next full moon is November 25.
Why
- The moon is waning gibbous, about 95% illuminated, 16.8 days old
- Next full moon is 2026-11-25, next new moon is 2026-11-10
- Lunar eclipses only happen near a full moon, and the last one was not today
