Was today a natural disaster?
Checking
NO
No — today is a date, not an event; the M6.5 quake was near Japan's Bonin Islands, not here.
Why
- Strongest quake: M6.5, Bonin Islands, Japan, 11,000 km away
- Worldwide: 16 quakes of M5+ in the past 24 hours
- Storms churning: Typhoon Champi, Hurricane Vance, Cyclone Agueda
