Was October 27, 2026 a new console launch day?
NO
No — no new console hardware launches today; the only debut is Minecraft's native Switch 2 edition.
Why
- Steam Machine already launched in summer 2026
- Oct 27 brings Minecraft Switch 2 Edition, a game not hardware
- US price of that edition: $29.99
