Was October 28, 2026 a waxing crescent moon in Columbus?
NO
No — the Moon is a waning gibbous today, 93% illuminated, not a waxing crescent.
Why
- Moon phase today: Waning Gibbous, about 93% illuminated
- Moon is 17.3 days old; next new moon is November 9
- A waxing crescent comes after new moon, when the Moon is small and growing
