Was October 26, 2026 a world internet outage?
NO
No — the internet is up; sites are going dark selectively over the PHP "PHP2Shell" flaws, not globally.
Why
- Critical PHP bugs CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 disclosed Oct 21
- Flaws affect ~70% of websites that use PHP
- Cloudflare logged millions of exploit attempts within hours
