Was October 27, 2026 genocide declared?
NO
No — the UN inquiry's genocide finding on Gaza was published Monday, though today's coverage reports it.
Why
- A UN Commission of Inquiry report says Israel committed genocide in Gaza after the ceasefire.
- Coverage dated today describes the report as published on Monday, October 26.
- The commission is not a court; the ICJ has not ruled on genocide in this case today.
