Was October 27, 2026 the day vinyl died?
NO
No — vinyl never died, and no official date marks its death.
Why
- Vinyl sales have grown for many consecutive years, per industry reports.
- The 'vinyl is dead' claim has circulated since CDs arrived in the 1980s.
- Today, October 27, 2026, is just an ordinary Tuesday for records.
